Monthly Mixers

ReelWorld Monthly Mixer kicked off June 2009. Every 4th Wednesday of the Month talent from all areas of the entertainment industry meet at Harlem Restaurant from 5:30-7:30pm to network. Also each month there is a special guest who share their experiences and you get a chance to get up-close and personal.

  • Director Peter Stebbings
    • Peter Stebbings was born in Vancouver and attended Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York City. He has acted in numerous Canadian television series such as Traders and Madison, as well as several features including, Pigeon (04), The Limb Salesman (04), and Citizen Duane (06), which all screened at the Toronto Film Festival. In 2008, he co-wrote and performed in the feature Jack and Jill vs. the World starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Taryn Manning. His latest film is Defendor (09), starring Woody Harrelson and Sandra Oh, and it marks his directorial debut.

  • Director Sook-Yin Lee
    • Sook-Yin Lee is a Toronto-based musician, actor, filmmaker and TV and radio broadcaster. Her award winning short films UNLOCKED, GIRL CLEANS SINK and ESCAPADES OF THE ONE PARTICULAR MR. NOODLE have screened internationally. Sook-Yin stars in the adventurous comedy SHORTBUS, directed by John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) which premiered at the Festival de Cannes 2006. Recently, Sook-Yin wrote, directed and performed in The Brazilian, a chapter in the film TORONTO STORIES. 2009 marks her feature film screenplay and directorial debut with YEAR OF THE CARNIVORE, produced by Screen Siren Pictures and the Film Farm.

    • Charlotte Rose is a literary agent and owner of Green Light Artist Management (GLAM), with 15 years experience as an agent and 25 years experience in the film industry. Specializing in producers, directors and below the line talent, Charlotte works with directors Jeremy Podeswa, Brad Peyton, Cinematographers Thom Best and Milan Podsedly, Production Designers Matthew Davies and Tony Cowley and many, many more. Charlotte has a BA in International Relations from Victoria College University of Toronto, and had the pleasure of assisting Steven Spielberg in Los Angeles back in the 80’s.
