Festival+Summit

November 1 - 7, 2023

Watch Us Transform

Celebrating its 23rd year, Reelworld is Canada’s longest-running film festival and institute committed to advancing opportunities for Black, Indigenous, Asian, South Asian, and People of Colour in the Canadian screen industries by reducing barriers and fostering authentic stories. We are excited to announce that we have expanded the film festival to include a summit taking place on November 1 and 2.

The Reelworld Film Festival+Summit will feature seven days of screenings, keynote speeches, industry discussions, fireside chats, pitch opportunities, awards presentations, and breakfast/luncheon networking. These collective elements enhance the experience for our attendees, providing an opportunity for Canadian creatives, professionals and government leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue about the state of our industry today.

The opening night film for the Reelworld Film Festival will be shown at The Royal Theatre on November 1, at 7:00 PM ET, at 608 College St in Toronto, ON M6G 1B4. The Feature and Short films will be screened at The Paradise Theatre at 1006c Bloor St W in Toronto, ON M6H 1M2. Additionally, the first-ever summit will occur at the Courtyard by Marriott, located at 475 Yonge St. in Toronto, ON M4Y 1X7.
