Diversity Challenge

ReelWorld Film Festival and Pierre Laurent Timepieces present the 2011 Capturing Diversity Contest

ReelWorld is excited to invite all aspiring filmmakers and film enthusiasts to get in on the action by creating your own mobile films that capture the spirit of ReelWorld’s mission to “celebrate diversity and excellence in film and video”.

Guidelines

  • Running Time: Less than 3 minutes;
  • Format: Windows Media (.wmv); Audio Video Interleave (.avi); QuickTime (.mov); MPEG 1/2/4 (.mpg, .mpeg);
  • Language: English; if not in English than clearly subtitled; or no dialogue at all;
  • Submit each film once, you may submit more than one film, but they must all be different;
  • Nature of subject must relate to diversity within our community in a positive manner;
  • ReelWorld reserves the right to withdraw contestants’ submissions if their social networking conduct is deemed inappropriate by ReelWorld Board of Directors;
  • The contestant must be a member of the ReelWorld Facebook page;
  • The contestant’s film must have at least 25 ‘Likes’ by members of the ReelWorld Facebook page;
  • The contestant understands that all submitted materials are the property of ReelWorld to be used at our discretion;
  • Winners will be announced in March 2012.

Contest Deadline: March 1, 2012 (you can submit your film all year round)

Prizes!

Selected films will be uploaded to the ReelWorld Film Festival Facebook page. We are pleased to award the top three films with the most Facebook ‘Likes’.

  • Be recognized on our Facebook page, website and twitter during the 2012 ReelWorld Film Festival
  • Receive a Pierre Laurent Swiss Made exquisite time piece with a monetary value of $300-$1000
  • First place contestants will also receive 2 ReelWorld 2012 Festival passes
  • Second and third place contestants also will receive 1 ReelWorld 2012 Festival pass each
