PROGRAMMERS NOTES
When the place you live doesn’t feel like home, what do you do? In Vest, a family is pushed to its limits when the child they fostered from Pakistan acts out and refuses to speak. After another blowout, Ali runs away, eventually finding himself in the London Underground. When a bystander makes a quick judgement about what Ali may be doing there, Ali’s life is in peril.
Director Samir Mallal’s drama contemplates what home and family mean for a young boy uprooted from his homeland. As Ali discovers, family is those who have your back when you need it most.
