In this magical animated documentary, Zhu escapes a forced marriage in Shunde (China) and joins the Comb Sisters, a real-life commune of women who were sworn to a life of celibacy. A 100-year old story, 'Comb Sister' follows the journey of Zhu, the last of the Comb Sisters, as she finds her way to the afterlife.

When Sasha's grandiose and ruthless mother, Isabelle doesn't show up at her fiancé's funeral, she decides to invite her over for dinner to settle the matter. She recruits her brother Kumo for support, who also happens to be her mother's favorite child. As the dinner runs its course, Isabelle manipulatively avoids the subject at hand and Sasha slowly starts to lose her patience. The more she seeks an apology, the more Isabelle deceives and gaslights her. The evening becomes increasingly more sinister when Isabelle lets Sasha in on a little secret about her fiancé's death.
