With over 20 per cent of Canadians reaching retirement age in a decade, CARE is a film that hits home hard. Following paid caregivers and their clients throughout the United States, this film asks “How do we take care of our aging loved ones and the people who take care of them?” From an undocumented caregiver who can’t pay her rent to a family going broke from paying nursing fees, CARE shows a pressing need for improvement in our systems for elder care.
Join us after the screening for a panel and Q&A with our non-profit partners The International Federation on Ageing. Stay and discuss Canada’s aging crisis and how we can change our broken elder care system.
Plus visit the CONVERSATION ROOM after the film and learn how you can turn your passion into action. Stop in for coffee and snacks, discuss the issues, sign petitions, volunteer and become more knowledgeable about the things you care about.
