Her Frame Matters: Reelworld Town Hall

5PM EST | Apr 13

Reelworld Screen Institute presents #HerFrameMatters - a series of programs focused on the depiction of racially diverse women on screen in Canada. We are excited to host an in-person town hall with Access Reelworld members from Ontario who identify as women on April 13, 2022 - an event that provides the opportunity for Access Reelworld members to share their thoughts on the depiction of racially diverse Women in Canadian content, and voice their suggestions on how to address the gaps in the various facets of the industry that contribute to the tropes and stereotypical depiction Black, Indigenous, Asian, South Asian, and Women of Colour on Canadian screen.

Through this open floor forum, we will capture feedback from our community, which will inform the creation of the Reelworld Industry Protocol Guideline and support the drive for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Canadian Screen Industry. #HerFrameMatters is supported by Women and Gender Equality Canada.
