Taking place during the Reelworld Film Festival, Reelworld LAUNCH is our industry program aimed at creating networking and professional development opportunities for emerging and underrepresented filmmakers and storytellers. There are four (4) key components to the programming: Pitch & Fund, Direct, Market, and Distribute. Each stream will feature sessions with industry leaders through case studies, panels, and talks.

Reelworld LAUNCH industry sessions took place on Friday, October 13th on the main stage within the Toronto Reference Library. The four (4) LAUNCH industry sessions were:
PITCH & FUND / A case study on the upcoming independent feature film, Brown Girl Begins which was funded by Telefilm Canada and directed by Sharon Lewis.
DIRECT / Lessons learned from emerging filmmakers who made the transition from directing their short film to directing for popular broadcast television shows such as Kim's Convenience, Murdoch Mysteries, and many others.
MARKET / A panel of industry insiders share tips and strategies on how to successfully find an audience and market your film or media project in today’s landscape.
DISTRIBUTE / Leading experts from streaming platforms and distribution companies discuss new content distribution opportunities in today's rapidly changing and evolving media landscape.
