Danardo jones sets out on a car ride with his teenage son in hopes of having a conversation that some parents dread and others are unaware of.
As a lawyer, Jones is well aware that the law can do little to protect his son against the anti-racism and discrimination that has become a part of his complicated Canadian identity.
Karen Chapman graduated from Emily Carr University with a Bachelors in Media Arts. Karen is an award-winning filmmaker and recent fellow of the Hot Docs’ documentary Channel Doc Accelerator program. Her short documentaries have screened at dozens of film festivals internationally and she has recently won the Audience Choice Award at the WIFT-T Showcase. Karen is committed to telling visually driven stories and has been named one of Canada's 17 for '17, great Canadian filmmakers of the future.
