As a young daughter waits for acceptance to her dream arts program, her excitement turning to despondence as time goes on, her Caribbean mother must make a heart-wrenching decision to make sure her daughter escapes the cycle of poverty the two are caught in.
After completing the film production program at Confederation College, Andrew has gone on to work in the film industry in a myriad of different roles ranging from on set work on shows like “Degrassi: The next generation” to working behind the scenes as a CSR at William F White. Select filmography includes directing "Ils L'ont Pendu", working as director of Photography on "Bondage Prison" and 1st assistant director on films "The Railpath Hero", "Esmerelda's Castle" and "Melissa!". "Hey Abbott!" is Andrew's recent directorial effort currently in festivals alongside “Maternal” premiering at the 2018 Reel World Film Festival.

Richard Young is a South Asian-Canadian screenwriter/actor andan alumnus of both the Writers' Guild of Canada Bell Media Diverse ScreenwritingProgram and the Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) Kid's TV WritingBootcamp. He has written for the television cartoon 16 Hudson (TVO), co-created/wrotethe digital series Sudden Master (OMNI/Rogers) and created the digital sketch seriesOff2Kali which screened at ReelWorld. Sedina Fiati is a producer, performer, activist and creator for stage and
screen. She holds a BFA in Music Theatre from the University of Windsor and is a
proud graduate of Etobicoke School of the Arts. Sedina has produced several theatre
and media projects, including the PSA Share The Screen for ACTRA Toronto, Lessons
From Our Daughter, A Clumsy Encounter and is the current Managing Producer of The
Storefront Theatre. Sedina is also the current co chair of ACTRA National’s Diversity
Committee, former co chair of ACTRA Toronto’s Diversity Committee and 2nd VP for
Canadian Actors’ Equity Association’s Council. Upcoming Sedina will be producing and
performing in Last Dance, a web series she is creating, which was a part of the 2018
WIFT T Scripted Digital Series Incubator.
