Joy

Joy Loewen is a media screen executive who believes in the transformative power of stories and is passionate about supporting the creators who make them. She is currently the Vice President, Growth & Inclusion at the Canada Media Fund responsible for the development, design and delivery of the CMF’s inclusion and growth strategies. Before joining the CMF, Joy was CEO of the National Screen Institute where she led the creation of more than 20 different programs and brought new life to the 37-year-old organization through a significant period of change. In 2023, Joy was named Playback Canada’s Changemaker of the Year.
