Reelworld invites Indigenous and racially diverse filmmakers to create
60-second socially impactful films to be shared on social media.

Artists may submit films on the subject or theme of their choice. Films should be in keeping with Reelworld's mandate of socially impactful films. Use your voice to make a difference in the world.
Be sure to share your creations widely! The worldwide audience is your judge and jury. The 5 videos with the most likes will determine our semi-finalists. All semi-finalists will receive a Pierre Laurent watch
The Grand Prize finalist, chosen in September, will receive $500.00 in addition to a Pierre Laurent watch.

Rules and Guidelines
How to Enter:
All Indigenous and racialized filmmakers are eligible to enter. It's easy!
Create a one minute film and upload it to Facebook, Instagram or Youtube.
Use hashtags #reelworldpierrelaurent and #reelworldtakeaminute
Please read and carefully consider the following details and guidelines for the 1-Minute film competition before submitting.
Each film must be precisely 60 seconds.
The film can be speaking, sound, or silent.
All films must be made specifically for the Reelworld Take A Minute 2018 Film Contest.
Films should be in keeping with Reelworld's mandate of socially impactful films. Use your voice to make a difference in the world.
All genres accepted: Live Action, Animation, Experimental, Documentary and Creative Non-Fiction,
All entries must be submitted online on either Instagram, Facebook or Youtube.
Ensure that all content in your film (including footage, images, props, etc.) is your own.
Credits and title card are included in the 60-second limit, but it is not necessary to include them within the film.
Consider your viewing audience - from mobile phones, to broadband, to theatre screens.
All work is your own. Reelworld and Pierre Laurent will retain access to screen your work for internal or marketing purposes.
We are unable to accept works that contain profanity or nudity; works that condone or incite violence, hatred, or discrimination; or works that are unduly frightening to children.
