Stuck in a dead-end small town, with no escape in sight, 18-year-old Gabe (Kevin Alves) sees his luck turn around thanks to a winning lottery ticket. But no sooner does his fortune change than his best friend Aaron (John Daniel) steals his ticket. Unwilling to give up on his dreams of escape, Gabe assembles a team of friends and schemes to steal it back over the course of a delightfully chaotic weekend.
Leaning into his experience as an actor, Alves smartly keeps his focus on character relationships and sharp dialogue while keeping things lighthearted within the heist framework. Alves bolsters the film with a terrific ensemble, including Alexa Barajas, Jessica Clement, and Jesse Camacho. Alves' feature debut is an unconventional caper about complicated friendships that delivers.

About the Director
Kevin Alves is a Canadian actor and former world-class figure skater who competed in two World Championships and ranked among the world's top 30. He began acting in his teens and has appeared in Degrassi: The Next Generation, Shadowhunters and Locke & Key. He currently stars as Travis Martinez in Showtime's 10-time Emmy-nominated series Yellowjackets and recently wrapped the horror-thriller ScareBnB.
