About the Director
Faran Moradi is an Iranian-Canadian filmmaker from Ontario, best known for his Telefilm Talent to Watch-funded debut feature, Tehranto. A Sheridan College alumnus, he has directed and edited Emmy Award-winning series, including Odd Squad, the Hulu series Holly Hobbie and the Prime series Dino Dex. He also wrote and directed the award-winning short Blackpowder and Guilt and co-hosts Cinema Rex, an English-language podcast exploring Iranian cinema. His upcoming projects include Across Waves and Cry Wolf.
