About the Director
Vanessa Magic is a Canadian Screen Award-winning director and alumna of Slamdance, WBD Access x the Canadian Academy, and Women In the Director’s Chair. Her shorts—The Absurdity Of The Black Female Experience, The Future Above Us, and How to Stay Awake—screened at Brooklyn, Cannes, Entertwine, and Fantasia. Inspired by her dreams, she is eager to create worlds and narratives untold, unseen and filled with magic.
