Prisoner follows Adam, a 12-year-old refugee, confronting the unsettling reality of his father Saeed’s past as a political prisoner. Set against a backdrop of intergenerational trauma, the story reveals the psychological toll that Saeed’s imprisonment has left on their family.

About the Director
Rame Ibrahim is a Palestinian-Canadian filmmaker whose work delves into displacement, politics, and the diaspora. His films have been screened internationally, with Prisoner being shortlisted for the Young Director Awards at Cannes Lions. He holds an MFA from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is an alumnus of the DOXA and VIFF mentorship programs.
