Grief

Feeling inadequate as a father, Naim starts to notice unsettling changes in his wife's behaviour and the increasing visits from his best friend Javed. With his son Talha also sensing that something is wrong, they quietly navigate their suspicions and the complexities of their family relationships.

About the Director

Haaris Qadri is a Toronto and London (Ontario)-based filmmaker and York University BFA graduate. His short majboor-e-mamool screened at Festival du Nouveau Cinema and won Best Canadian Short at Reel Asian Film Festival. His films explore diasporic identity, intergenerational dynamics, and everyday life with poetic realism, and have screened at TIFF Next Wave and Canadian Film Fest.
