Clark Johnson
Actor & Director
Clark Johnson is an Ameri-Canadian actor and director. He has been a director and series regular on sows as diverse as HOMICIDE: LIFE on the STREET and THE WIRE, and the Amazon comedy ALPHA HOUSE with John Goodman and Bill Murray.
After playing football almost graduating in the film program at Concordia University, he began his professional career in football but after being unceremoniously cut by Toronto and Hamilton in Canada and Pittsburgh and Buffalo (twice) in the NFL. His first film job was as Lee Major’s driver. And he saved David Cronenberg’s career as a special effects crew member on four of his films in the 80’s.
He started directing professionally in 1997 in the fourth season of HOMICIDE. He was the director of the pilot episodes and the series finales of THE SHIELD (Emmy nomination) and THE WIRE; Clark also directed the pilot and other episodes of SLEEPER CELL (won AFI best miniseries, nominated Golden Globe), THE WALKING DEAD, MEMPHIS BEAT, LIGHTS OUT, THE GET DOWN among others. He also directed several and played a role in HOMELAND for Showtime.
His feature film career includes directing and playing roles in an original feature production for HBO’s, BOYCOTT (AFI nominated, best movie/mini series, won Peabody award), in 2001 then two feature films: S.W.A.T. in 2003 and THE SENTINEL in 2006. His latest film, PERCY (starring Christopher Walken) was filmed in Manitoba Canada.
In 2016, he made his Broadway debut in a revival of Kurt Vonnegut’s musical GOD BLESS YOU MR. ROSEWATER with James Earl Jones. In short, Clark is comfortable singing and dancing. Whether it be on stage, in front of the camera or behind it.
He is currently a series regular on the Marvel creation Daredevil: Born Again and recently completed Late Fame, an indie film starring Willem Dafoe.

A recognized sector leader, Prem has been named one of The Most Powerful Women in Canadian Entertainment by The Hollywood Reporter, featured in Vancouver Magazine’s Power 50, and honoured with the Community Catalyst Award by the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
She brings over two decades of experience in media and entertainment to her role, previously leading original programming at TELUS, where she launched initiatives like STORYHIVE and Optik Local to support emerging creators.
A passionate advocate for Canadian talent, Prem serves on the boards of The Bell Fund and BC Tech Association, chairs the Association of Provincial and Territorial Funding Agencies, and sits on the City of Vancouver Mayor’s Business Growth Task Force.
