The Reelworld Producer Program is a four-month, part-time program for emerging producers who want to build or strengthen their own production companies. The program offers priority access to industry markets and provides practical, immersive training in the business side of the Canadian entertainment industry.

Throughout the program, you'll learn core producing skills, including forming a corporation, retaining IP, optioning scripts and novels, creating deal memos, selecting key creatives, preparing cast attachments, and navigating service production. You'll also dive into essential areas like applying for grants, understanding tax credits, packaging projects, and attracting talent.

As a program participant, you'll also receive hands-on guidance in developing pitch materials and delivering compelling in-person pitches, as well as opportunities to connect with broadcasters and production company executives. Each participant will develop and pitch a project, with the potential to move it into development. Bell Media will also take an active interest in selected projects.

This program is designed specifically for aspiring producers—not directors or writers developing their own creative work. All participants receive passes to the 2026 Reelworld Film Festival+Summit.

Deadline to Apply is December 19th, 2025 (11:59PM EST)
