2020 Digital Festival F.A.Q.
Can I watch the films outside of Ontario?
All films included in our festival are geo-blocked to Ontario. You must be within the province to stream our digital programming.
When can I start streaming films?
At 6:00 PM EST on October 14th, 2020, our Opening Night Film will become available to stream. Once this film has finished, all of the other festival films will become accessable on our platforms (Cinesend and ROKU).
Each film, including the opening and closing night selections, will only be available for 48 hours after pushing ‘play’ for the first time. As of October 20th, 2020 at 12:01 AM EST, films will be removed from the platforms.

Is the festival family friendly?
It is! Overall, our themes dont exactly cater to a younger audience, but we believe there is so much for everyone to enjoy this year! Any films dealing with mature content are preceded with a Trigger Warning message. For further clarity if a film is apropriate for your little one, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I miss the feeling of an in-person festival, how can I engage with filmmakers?
While we are exicited to be able to reach more viewers online, we have many events occuring over the course of the festival to allow you to engage with all things Reelworld!
Our industry panels (view and sign up at www.reelworld.ca/industry-panels-2020) will be occuring live, broadcasted worldwide. Our staff will monitor Q&A sections through the links provided to ensure your questions reach out moderators and panelists.
On Monday, October 19, 2020, at 4:30PM, we will present our awards live via an online presentation. This will include film awards, as well as our Trailblazer, Visionary and Excellence Awards. This is going to be a night to remember with presenters that include some of Canada’s top Black, Indigenous, Asian, South Asian, Middle Eastern, and Latinx talent.
We ask that you sign up for the awards presentation
